  • singing
  • acting
  • directing
  • design

“I want to create my own story with songs, make-up and costumes. It has to be in the theatre, with lights and a microphone like the one Madonna wears.

I also want a pit orchestra, with a conductor.”

Ian worked towards developing and presenting an original theatrical performance in an intimate theatrette in Windsor on the eve of his 50th birthday, so there was plenty to celebrate, including having cake!

“The costumes are lovely to wear. I felt happy. And excited. The cake was beautiful. The audience.

I am a good performer.

The singing was good. Learning and remembering the words was hard. I sing louder. Better at the tune. Yes.

I learned more about acting. I improved. At acting. Being a character.”

Ian now has a portfolio of images, showreel, skills and experiences to take into the next stage of his artistic career, and will be pursuing ways to remount his show in a cabaret venue as part of a festival, to elevate his profile and reach new audiences.
